"Contempt" is a piece that originated as a stream of consciousness drawing in my sketchbook some time ago. The initial sketch captivated me, and I felt compelled to revisit and further explore the ideas that emerged during its creation.

As I delved deeper into the artwork, it evolved into a meditation on the profound impact that negative emotions, such as hatred and contempt, have on our well-being. The piece seeks to visually represent the self-inflicted emotional damage as scars and deformations on the subject's external façade, serving as a powerful metaphor for the inner turmoil caused by harboring such destructive feelings.
